Dear Board Visitors:

For years and years, I have struggled with overeating at night. Again, just now, I have eaten a box of cereal, two slices of toast, carrots, an apple, and some chocolate kisses in addition to the three meals I have already eaten today. I cannot reacall how many times I have told myself again and again that "tonight will be different;" different means binge-free. And each night remained the same. I would and do often eat so much on the holidays I have to go to bed before the festivities are even close to finished because I feel so ill.

Tonight, on August 20, 2006 I vow to stop binge-eating at night. Please, I ask you all to join me in my fight for a normal eating pattern, weather it be struggling to eat the daily recommended amount or reducing overall intake, stand up now with me for what you want to accomplish. The more who join in the fight, the stronger our chances of winning.

I love you all and long to love myself in the same way. Thank you.

With A Humble Beginning,
Sleepers

Sleepers, I love it and i'm totally with you.

I, with the help and guidance of my therapist and what will be a da** good meal plan, vow that starting today, August 21st, 2006, I will learn how to eat WITHOUT counting every calorie. I may slip, i may cry, i may feel so anxious i smoke 10 cigarettes consecutively ;) , but i WILL learn to eat without counting calories.

Let's do it ladies! (and gents!)

Hey tallycat, congrats! Are you just "eating when hungry/stopping when full" or are you trying to follow some sort of meal plan (that doesn't involve counting calories)? Regardless, that's awesome girl! Keep strong and keep not counting!

I'm on Wellbutrin so full = about three bites, so I can't go by that. What I did is work with the plan for about a month until I had a good sense of 'enough' food vs. fooling myself, and now I'm not measuring out the food, sort of eyeballing it and having an idea of what makes up a meal without using a planner.
