has anyone else tried abilify? how did you feel in the beginning, and did it work?

I take Abilify. It works for me. At first it made me very drowsy and tired. For some people, Abilify can cause a person to become hyper or very wired. It just depends on each individual. Many don't react with either way, as these are just varied side effects I'm giving you as to what can happen from what I've read on other forums from different people posting about Abilify.

Abilfiy is a weight neutral drug. Most people tend to lose weight on it. That is a bonus. :) I was one of the rare people who gained weight on Abilify. :( Oh well, there has to be an oddball out there! LOL There are a few others I know of who also have gained on it, but it is a rarity. The norm is people tend to lose on it or maintain their weight.

It helps in the aide of anxiety, depression, mania, hallucinations, and is usually used in conjunction with a mood stabilizer.

Hang in there. Give it a try. It took me about 2-3 weeks before I began to notice any difference except for the drowsiness. That was immediate. Remember, all meds effect every individual differently. ;)
