My step daughter just informed me that she is having sex with her boyfriend. Sometimes unprotected! She is 16 (almost 17) She doesnt want to tell her mom............she will literally flip out!!! I also dont want her to hide birth control from her................BUT................i dont want her to get pregnant. Does Planned Parenthood, or other clinic's give free BC pills?

The bc is usually priced on a sliding scale-- typically it is hard to find free BC, but you can find it cheap in most cases (~$10- $15 a month). Be sure to mention that money is a factor when the dr. is prescribing the medication so they can possibly give a sample or two or prescribe something with a generic.

I believe this this differs from state to state, but where I live it's possible to go to a free clinic, have a pap smear, and then they'll provide birth control for free to those under the age of 18. Call some clinics in your area and find out what's available to you.
