My 13 month old is on zyrtec and singular for allergies and allergy induced eczema. He has been on the singular for about 2 months, so far great, but just this last week, i noticed his skin was bad for several days and he had real bad allergy eyes, now great again.
just wondering if anyone has had this happen, is it just this time of year, that allergy season is worse, or is his body getting use to the medication and it not being as effective.
thanks,
brandi :)

my son is also on singular and has been for a couple of years, althought he takes it for an allergy induced cough (asthma). I cannot tell but, I have run out a couple of times and it seems like his cough starts, I can't be sure if this is coincidence or because he has not taken it for two days. I'm not sure if singular does anything at all. My son still has to take albutoral and pulmicort treatments when he has flare ups. I would like to know if there are side affects to long term use of singular. I also read your post to another member saying one of your children have had molluscum. I have it and would like to know if anyone in your home ended up getting it and how long did it take to get rid of it and how? I'm so concerned that my son will catch it. I will take any advice at this point, I've had it for about 4 months. I have told one friend and she doesn't even want to bring her son around me, (I don't blame her at all), but it makes me feel so isolated.

Probably just the time of the year. If he was going to show a sensitivity to either, it would have shown up long before now. And 2 months is nto nearly long enough for a drug to become ineffective.
