I have been controlling my ob's for 4 years with acyclovir. About 3 years ago I started getting a eyesight problem concentrated in my central vision which has now caused me to have a blindspot. I can register as partially sighted if I want to.
Its seems a bit coincidental that this problem started soon after taking acyclovir and was wondering if anyobe else has experienced similar problems?

Hello
Whilst reading up on genital herpes I came across this article:
http://www.patient.co.uk/showdoc/27000760/
Not sure whether its the acyclovir that may be causing it or whether you may have a herpes simplex eye infection??
Have a read anyway and let me know how you get on.

hi there,
I read the article you found - thanks very much. Unfortunately this is something quite different and the problem I have effects the macular part of the retina rather than the cornea...also the problem i have in my eyes is nothing to do with the actual herpes virus...but was concerned that taking acyclovir had caused the problem - thanks again!
