My son has had a bedwetting problem all his life. Every night he is soaking wet! There are maybe 3 days out of the month when he is dry. I was told by his pedi a couple of years ago that this would clear up on its own and not to pressure him about it.
We've tried limiting his fluids before bed, waking him in the middle of the night, etc. It looks like he goes more than once in a night. I'll check him every couple of hours, get him up if he's wet but he'll still be wet in the morning. I'm exhausted! I'm washing all his bedding every day. He is wearing pull ups, but have tried for a while to go without them to see if maybe being wet was more uncomforable and would wake himself up or something.
Another thing of note is that he only has one kidney which is enlarged. My guess is that his kidney just drains slower which causes him to have a full bladder several hours after drinking, but that wouldn't cause him to have incontinence at night?
Any ideas?
