I am new to your forum and am looking forward to chat to you all about the whole ttc-thing!
I am 25, been married for almost 4yrs and been ttc since Oct 2003.
I got bad PCOS and had one MC last year.
I live in South Africa and found only two local chatrooms that deals with these things.
I am currently on Provera to get my period, and will be starting Clomid on day 2.
Anyone in the same boat, would love to chat!!

Hi Higgie
Welcome I am new too and everyone is soooooooo helpful and sooooooooo supportive. I also was on clomid for 4 months and put on provera twice to bring on AF. I have just started my injections called Follistim and I am on 350 dosage everynight at 9pm. I go back to my RE tomorrow to see how things are progressing.

Hi Kym
Good luck with the new treatments, I hope you have good results! How did the Provera make you feel, and was it effective?
I am finishing my first dose on Saturday (day26), and as far as I understood, it should bring AF on Monday (day 28).
If this happens I will bevery happy, because I have never really had a 28 day cycle + I cant wait to start the Clomid!!:blob_fire
Chat again soon!

Hey Higgie26, The Provera gave me more cramping then usual b/c I do not ovulate. One thing to remember is that Provera does not bring on AF until 10 to 15 days after you take the last pill. I was on it twice and it felt like forever until AF came and it was extremely heavy. Good luck keep us posted.

Hi Higgie! I think you'll love this place. I know it's one of the few places where at least one person, if not several, know pretty much what I'm going through. And there's always so much support here. Welcome!

Hi again,,,wanted to give you a little more info...my sis with pcos, before the metformin she was on many cycles of clomid...the max max max dosage and NOTHING. still no periods. then BAM with the metformin...her cycles were slowly regulating...and she got pg. the dr. is keeping her on the metformin for a few weeks to minimize the risk of miscarriage......apparantly it's the insulin levels that may cause mc with pcos .....i hope this is helpful. it was so frustrating for her to be on clomid for so long with no results. Good luck to you!!!!!!!!

Kim, I am glad you told me about the Provera, I would have prbably been a nervous wreck if AF didnt arrive when I thought, I will just be patient!
Buchmandana, thanks for the update on your sis, I am also going to draw the line at my second round of Clomid, I am very scared of the stuff:confused:
Will keep you guys updated!!:D
