Well I have had nephrotic syndrome for over 5 years. I have had renal u/s and all blood work is fine except I leak alot of protein. However the protien actually went away for about 6 months. I started to have severe stomach pain and went to the ER thinking appendicitis. They found nothing except extremly high blood pressure sent me home to follow up with Dr. I immediatly started to think I must be spilling protien but since my blood work was fine they didnt bother with a UA. So today i have followed up with Dr and my blood pressure is still very high 162/108. At the ER it was 203/128 so it has come down some. My UA came back with a +3 for protein, neg for leukocytes and neg for blood. I have been fine for like 6 months, no protien, excellent blood pressure so all this is concerning and shocking. Now I get to do a fun 24hr urine in a week after increasing my lisinopril. I have been feeling achey in my left flank area but no other urinary symtoms. What would cause this to happen suddenly again? My nephrologist believes this all started from pre eclampsia while pregnant the first time but I was spilling before I ever got pregnant. I told her this but still insits its from my prior pregnancy. Has this happend to anyone before? Thanks!
