Hi everyone, I'm new here. I know I'm probably at the place where all of you have been, but I'm just ready to give up on life. I'm not even sure what's wrong with me, and no one else is either. I was hoping that some poor soul might have the same symptoms that I have, and might know where I can turn. Here's a brief rundown:
Development of Raynaud's in November 05
Onset of Mono December 05
Positive ANA
Mixed Connective Tissue
Blurred Vision, Continuing fever, Swelling in hands, Lymphnodes still visably swollen, throat ulcers, tonsil stones, horrible fatigue and backpain
And just to throw it in, I also have psoriasis and HPV
It's been eight months since I've felt decent at all. Does anyone have anything to offer? Thanks so much,
Kara

Kara,
I was diagnosed with most of the syndromes you mention ... and many more as well. I also well understand your frustration. I realized very early on that I had to take matters into my own hands, do my own research, be my own healer. The internet is a great place to find accurate information and supportive people.
From what you post, I think CFS is a good possibility, but Lyme as well, as jojo mentioned. I was diagnosed with CFS 14 years ago but tested positive for Lyme last year (my tick bites were prior to CFS). I would suggest visiting the Lyme board here, and elsewhere as well. The more information you have the better you will be able to decide what tests you need and who best to do them. Lyme is called "the great imitator" because it can look like so many illnesses - Lupus, MS, Parkinsons, mono, CFS, celiac, etc......... and many people don't even remember being bit by a tick (other critters can also cause Lyme).
I know that it is hard to think about doing research when you feel so ill, but as you gather information that makes sense to you about your condition, this in itself will contribute to your road to wellness. There are many people in cyberland who have travelled/are travelling the same course; thus, they can be a great source of information and inspiration.
All the best
