One of my family members has been recently diagnosed with Parkinson's and another family member has been diagnosed with Lyme disease.
Both family members asked me to do on-line research on both diseases, and I read that many patients who have Lyme disease have been misdiagnosed with Parkinson's.
In addition, I read that some patients with Parkinson's developed it because they had Lyme disease originally, and those patients who are treated for Lyme and Parkinson's show good improvement of their symptoms.
I just wanted to inform the posters of this board about the information I learned, and if anyone lives in an area that is high risk for Lyme disease, like the U.S. Northeast, it might be worth their while to get a blood test for Lyme.
