I used fixodent Extra Hold Powder and it took me 45 minutes to remove denture. Is there an easy way to remove it after using this powder?

I've never used the powder adhesive, but I do use the Fixodent Control w/Scope...It always helps when I swish warm water around in my mouth before trying to remove them...it makes the adhesive turn loose easier...maybe it would help if you try it....sure hope so...

I use this first thing in the morning, then by the next morning I rinse out with warm water and it comes loose right away.

Semperwife,

Do you wear your denture all day and night??? Do you take it out to clean after meals and then reapply the Fixodent powder???? My dentist told me not to sleep with it in but my oral surgeion has told to sleep with it in because of the problems I am having....so I have only been removing it to clean when I get up it but am concerned about getting infections.

Hi Shirley,

I sleep with mine out. My dentist told me to do this, BUT its my own personal preference. Hubby sleeps with his in and has for 10yrs.

I LOVE fixodent powder it is the easiest to get out. But since I need a major reline (they are real loose) and I don't want to go back back to the dentist, just because Im sick to death being in there, I use the Fixodent control/scope (I bought what blueheart uses lol).

If you have questions Blueheartlady is an absolute ANGEL!

I do not normally use adhesive but when I do I use the fixodent powder and I also swish warm water around in my mouth for a few minutes before attempting to take my teeth out. Sometimes I make a cup of decaf tea and drink it.

I also take mine out for the night.

Sandy
