Hi everyone! I've finally decided to come out & introduce myself. I'm usually a private person (pretty much), but the struggle with infertility & all of its components is really start taking a toll on me. I figure if I talk about it, then maybe it will help!

I'm 33 & this is secondary infertility for my husband & me. We have a 3 year old (it took 5 months to conceive him after a m/c on the first try) & we've been TTC for 2 years. We finally went to a RE after tests with my gyn....we really wanted it to happen naturally....sigh..... All of our tests (bloodwork, US, HSG, SA) have come back normal (plus I do ovulate on my own around day 14). I started Clomid on day 3 after AF showed, had an US last week that showed 2 follicles (19mm & 25mm), did Ovidrel on Thursday followed by IUI the next day. The doctor & nurse were very excited to see my husband's sperm count.....115 million (he seems to walk a little taller since..haha). I started progestrone the other day & now I'm currently in the 2WW. I have nausea, cramps & am light headed. I'm not sure if it's from the IUI or progestrone...or both.

Sorry I just rambled on....I'll stop now......I'm looking forward to getting to know you & your stories.

Secondary or not, I am sure it is just as hard to now be able to conceive:mad:

Hey and welcome to the boards. good luck with your 2ww. I am almost finished mine. My test date is 8/25 (BFN today). Your DH has excellent SC:blob_fire , and 2 big follies for you!! How was your lining/E2 count? Do they know what your cause of infertility is? I am PCOS with MF and using DS. I had 7 follies over 15mm, E2 of 500 and a lining of 7.0mm:mad: I did my trigger 8/10 and IUI 8/11, I am not good with this wait.
About progesterone, it can cause bloating, dizziness and very tired about an lours after you take it. Are you taking in the AM and in the PM? Does he have you an anything else? I also take an estrogen patch that I change every 3 days.

Thank you for the warm welcome & good wishes! There is no reason for my infertility...everything has come back normal so far. I have not had a LAP, so perhaps it's endo. During the U/S my lining was a 9 & I'm sorry....I have no idea what an E2 is:confused: ! I'm only taking progestrone at this point (in the AM & PM)...my doc hasn't said anything about my estrogen. Thank you for telling me some symptoms of the progestrone....I took progestrone after I conceived my DS & had these symptoms, but I thought it was due to the pregnancy.

Hey Jac! Welcome to the board! Wishing you lots of luck on this cycle. I'm like you in that we have a 3 year old, and have been TTC for 2 years. We've always had fertility problems though. It took us close to two years to conceive our son naturally, and we started trying again soon after he was born. We tried for 10 months, got pregnant, then unfortunately lost the pregnancy a little after 8 weeks. Anyhow, we're hoping to have some success with treatment. Sounds like you and DH are excellent candidates for IUI, so I'm sending you good wishes for a BFP!!

HI! I am also in the 2WW. I had an IUI 2 days ago, and am currently taking progesterone vaginal gel in the pm. I am not taking estrogen. My uterine lining tends to be quite thin, and mine was only 3.6 on day 12, no idea what is was on day 14, which was the day of my IUI. My doctor says I've got a slim chance of getting pregnant with a uterine lining so thin, but I'm praying for a miracle. But anyway, your numbers looked GREAT. I'll be thinking of you and pulling for your BFP!! My Beta should be labor day, but it looks like I'll have to wait until the next day because the office is closed. What is your beta date?
