So, the numbers are in. My tri's went from 967 to 401. An improvement for sure, but still not where they need to be. My total cholesterol went from 225 to 166 and my HDL was 37 and is now 39. My PA still does not want to put me on drugs (thank goodness) and is giving me 8 more weeks. I am to take 2000 mg of fish oil a day and increase my water intake and exercise. Whew! Thanks to everyone on this board. It certainly has given me motivation to get my butt in gear with making life changes and also see that I am not the only one. To everyone battling - lots of luck to you.

Congratulations! You have done great. Before you know it your numbers will be lower and lower and you'll be feeling so much better. Excellent work and it's wonderful that your doctor know’s your ability to lower your numbers even more WITHOUT medicines.

You are a true inspiration to some of us -such as myself- trying to achieve better cholesterol numbers.
