Hi everyone

I have PCOS and have been ttc for almost 3yrs.
My doc said that only regular exercise and a good lowGI diet will help with the PCOS.
I am starting Clomid next cycle, but also need a good Low GI siet to maintain.

Any suggestions??

Thanks!!:blob_fire

All I can say...which women dont like to hear is A LOW CARB DIET (yuck:dizzy: ) I am PCOS, and I have been stuggling with it since my teens. At first I did not have any SE from PCOS, I was super thin but not having a period. then I eventually had my first DD at a total suprise. I then startted to gain weight (not much) then I got pregnant with our second child 6 years later (complete suprise, we were on our way to file for divorce:confused: ). I then gained alot of weight and the MDs including my RE says diet and exercise. I am not way over weight just kinda thick around the waist (which is typical for PCOS) I am now remarried and are TTC our 1st together, the US showed plenty of small cysts on both overies but BW was normal?? I did have one round of clomid which was a bust, it can have a horrible SE of thinnning the uterine lining and making CM extreamly Hostile (kill it basically).
Please continue to post, everyone here has their own stories and some you can relate to. This site is very suportive and here for you.
Sorry alot about me but I thought that you might be able to realte. Any questions, do hesitate to ask:angel:

i have to agree with spiderlamp, i have a slight case of pco and i was told stay away from your starches bc they turn into sugar... pasta and breads... they are ok in moderation... but not large portions.. every other week i treat my self to spaghetti and meatballs or raviolis!!! i helping with a nice big salad.. also i was prescribed metformin, it is very very common for pcos and i heard it can be very successful.. i had some icky side effects but after the first few weeks i noticed it really helped in me losing weight, pcos makes your metabolism slower and the metformin helps!!! goood luck,,

Hi Higgie26!
I have PCOS as well and use a low glycemic index - this works as recommended by my nutrionist - as I am type II diabetic as they found out after my 4th miscarriage! It's really not that hard and there are some good foods on the list. The most important thing to remember is - DON"T deprive yourself of anything. I have learned with desserts - I will have 3 bites of it and shove it away, or make my DH eat it! lol

You can do it!
Jen
