Hi. I have recently lost 105 pounds since Feburary. I'm not at my goal weight yet, but I am considering a tummy tuck to get rid of all this extra skin since it is irritating to me (physically and emotionally) when I reach my goal weight. To those of you who have had it done, please share your experiences. How long were you off work? How much pain were you in afterward?
Thanks for any and all replies.

Hope this helps....i had a TT in March. Now i am soooo happy :D
I do have to say with out the support of my boyfriend it would of been difficult. I can only speak for myself. My doctor told me i had swelled more then anyone he had ever seen. I had a complete TT, not sure if there is a difference but i was cut hip to hip. I had a lot of stretch marks so the doctor pulled down as much as possible. I also had lypo on my hips and " love handles". That is where i swelled the most. I am not gonna lie. To me it was really bad the first night. They give you good meds. So take them right away. I also got a pain pump which released a numbing agent into skin. I was mental for a little. I think it was the pain, and the compression suit and the meds...they made me itch and so nauseas. I know this sounds all bad but i am soooooooo happy with the results. It was all worth it. I was off for 2 weeks. I have an office job. I also waitress at night but had to wait about 2 months to do that. Dont force your self to sit straight up. It will come. I still have parts of my belly that are numb...HOPEFULLY that will heal :p . I hope this helps. Everyone is different. I just thank god my boyfriend was there. OH make sure to take stool softener right away. Meds and anesthesia make stools hard
