 This is the first time Ive posted here so I hope this will help someone. I hurt my back in 1993, I have just got some relief. Mine was in the lower part of my back. I've been on all kinds of pain medication. Even had a fusion with plate and screws. I got where I couldn't walk so the doctors took the hardware out 6 months later. Last year I starting taking oxy.40 mg. with lorcet 10 four times a day also a numbing patch to my back. That all helped until I started going numb from my waist down when I would stand or try to do alittle shopping with my husband. 3 months ago I had the trial for the stimulator. On the 5th day I got out of bed with NO pain at all for the first time since before I hurt myself. :bouncing: I couldn't get the doctor to put the stimulator in fast enough. Now I have the Stim. inserted in my hip. I feel like a new person. I had so much scar tissue my doctor had to get another doctor to help him cut windows in the tissue so he could hook up the wires. So I've gone thru 3 back operations in the last 2 months and I WOULD do it all over again. My doctor said in 2 to 3 years or less I should be able to come off ALL of my pain medication and the patch. If you have any ? I would be glad to help you. I've been there and done that. God has really blessed me.

That was a lot of meds to be taken together. I've been so worried about addiction and don't know how to either stop it or tell the doctor. I have Darvocet, Percocet, Lortab. Post L4-5 spinal fusion. But been on meds for quite some time. Seems like I always have to take something.
