I had a cervical ESI on August 2nd. The steroid injection didn't provide any relief at all. I was pretty sure that I would be scheduled for a second injection, however, today the PM doctor's office called and they have me scheduled for a Medial Branch Block instead. As I understand it, it is more of a diagnostic test to see if they can find our where the pain is coming from. Again, this is for my cervical spine.
Has anyone had one of these tests done that can give me the heads up on what to expect? I'm a big chicken when it comes to things like this, so please try not to scare the heck out of me.
Thanks.
