In 2002 after I had my second child I started having lower back pain. I don't really remember doing anything that could have caused injury. I went to see the doctor and after several visits and tests, the doctor found a slight bulge in disk L5-S1. I also discovered that I have degeneration in my spine. Because the bulge is slight, and I am so young, 24, I am not a candidate for surgery. Which is a relief because I was afraid anyway. Every time I see a doctor they ask my if I have pain running down my legs, or numbness and tingling. Which I don't. I have weakness in my left leg. I can't sit for long periods of time without getting extremely uncomfortable. I'm not very handy when it comes to hauling things. The pain that I do experience is never sharp or piercing it is just always a constant nagging ache in my pelvis, butt, and legs. My lower body just always feels tired. What I was wondering was could my pain be caused by something other than the bulged disk since I don't experience much of the usual symptoms. Could it be the degeneration that makes my feel 80?
