Hello all

I am new to this site and, unfortunately, new to the club of genital HSV 1 :mad: I have been researching this obsessively, and I am left with one question: my boyfriend (we have been together six years, so my doctor and I think it is highly unlikely that I got it from anyone else) kiss as well as have oral sex. Why is it that I got it downstairs rather than upstairs???? Now, I know either really sucks, but you have to admit it is more "socially acceptable" to have it upstairs. It just isn't fair!

True Gnoxe.. I think the same. I have coldsores and have only had one real outbreak (knock on wood) and it was the most embarrassing thing ever. Everyone stares at you like you are dirty. For me I did not get the big noticable ones thank god. LOL

Just wanted to ask you, did your boyfriend carry the virus for the last six years and did any of you know he had it ? I´ve been dating my GF for the last 4 years, and this week she had a severe outbreak for the first time and was diagnosed with genital herpes. I´m the only one who could of infected her, but I never had any symptoms whatsoever and can´t trace back to any exposure myself...
