View Full Version : Pains in Back While Breathing

I do have diagnosed problems in my lumbar spine and I cannot really sleep on my back. I sleep in a fetal position because it's more comfortable for me. Over the past 2 months I've developed a new symptom (which started after my last epidural wore off) When i wake up in the morning, and still laying on my side, and I breathe in.....I get sharp pains kind of in the middle of my back and it aches at the middle of my spine. It also seems to radiate out across my back in horizontal fashion. I do not get this pain while breating in while standing at all...only while laying on my side in bed. I don't THINK it's in my lungs (but maybe it is a possibility) but it seems to hurt more in my spine & radiates than in my lungs.

I am wondering if any one else has experienced something similar or could it be possibly that I now also have something else going on in my thoracic area?
