Today started out well, now I have learned of two young people very dear to us that have died one was a mom in the hosp "just for a kidney thing," the other, a young cop and vol fireman killed in the line of duty lasr night while responding to a call, he was killed by a drunk driver
So, would you suggest I just take it as it comes or call the doc for some benzos?
I have not stopped crying since my son called and asked me to take his dress fire uniform to the drycleaners and I can't find the black band that goes over the badge

Rhonda
I am very sorry to hear of your losses. I will say a special prayer for these families and one for you.
I don't know what benzos are. I don't see anything wrong with you crying, you are upset and this is a normal reaction.
I know that this is not an easy time, I always try to remind myself that everything happens for a reason.
Take care

benzos are basically a crutch to get you thru stress. as a bi polar, i am wondering if this stress will put me into a manic state or worse the benos i get are xanax and klonipin
Thankyou for the prayers, the friend of my son had 2 babies and a young wife at home.
Whenever my son goes on a fire call, I just mentally put hime in Gods hands and try not to worry, my son is also an official regional storm spotter so where there are funnel clouds, there he is, I wish he'd pick up a a habit like video games or something LOL

I hear ya Rhonda. My son rides a Harley and I just have to hope and pray he will be safe.
I try to look at it this way to, these people are doing the things they love, and you know they have done good things for people. My husband and I are into Rodeo, and it always saddens us when someone is killed or mamed, but we know this is what they loved to do.
I wish I knew what to tell you on the medication.
I'm reading in this drug book about Xanax, this looks like a nasty little buger to me, oohh and the same on the Klonipin, that is just my thoughts, I have no idea other that what I'm reading, they seem to me like something you have to come off of gradually.
Girl, you know your own self and this may be one of those "gut" calls you have to make.
You do sound better tho :)
Video Games for you and a Tricycle for me....Yea Right!

WARNING this is graphic!!! I will probably make a lot of people angry but I have to rant against this rage I HATE DRUNKS my ex is a drunk and the worthless scum that killed Jim yesterday, also a drunk, does not deserve to breathe the same air as other mortals. He brodsided him at over 100mph whooo hoo since when is Sunday night party night anyway. damnit I am so sick and angry and nothing can bring this man back and I hate seeing my son hurt so bad HE is acting manic, he was NON STOP activity yesterday I think if he stopped he'd feel and the grief is too much for him to take it is the second firefighter brother he has lost in a year and he is only 20. He has always told me, I am ok I've seen the worst nothing can bother me, when he was 18 he responded to a bad crash and went to the passenger side to extract the victim and a child's body fell out, the head was still in the air bag, he was "debriefed" and the fireman family was so good to him helping him thru it but with what he sees, how could anyone drink and drive. sorry Glad I have an appt at 3 today I need it

I think you are totally justified in your anger of drunk drivers, I'm pretty sure nobody would disagree with what you have said.
I remember now you posting over on the other board about your ex and the awful things he did and how you are married to a wonderful man now.
Hang in there and take what you need to feel better.
I'm having ibupropen today.
Take care :)
