Hello,
I also put this on the mental health board and depression board. I have bipolar disorder, panic disorder, ADD, OCD. Ever since I was put on Neurontin in summer of '01, I began to have a somewhat painful sensation of what feels like an electric shock passing through my head. I got off Neurontin soon after that but the sensation continues. I am now on clomipramine, sonata, zoloft, abilify, lamictal, prn xanax....god, i cant remember them all, there are more I think (my mom insists on putting the meds together though I'm freakin 16 years old).....
I was wondering if anyone knows of anyone who has experienced this or if you have yourself.
It seems to be triggered by bad memories, especially embarassing ones, as well as lots of color, sound, movement, extreme detail, light, or patterns.
It feels like it starts in the back of my head and shoots through my eyes in the space of about 1 sec. Once in awhile it will be prolonged but mild and will hang around right behind my eyes. Might it be a good idea to try to induce these while on an EEG?
Questions, comments, responses.... Weird I know. This is what I'd love to do to it: I love smilies! lol
Thanks,
Kristina
