 Hi Macca!
Welcome to the boards! You are definitely in the right place! Infertility is frieghtening and frustrating. And the treatments can be something else, too! A lot of us have taken clomid and have had endo and other things. I've had a m/c, a blocked tube, endo, insufficient lining, no success with clomid for 6 months, and MF infertility.
Now, with the help of IVF, ICSI, and FET, I am expecting our second!
But this FET in Aug, for some reason, was the hardest for me emotionally, and I have only gotten through it thanks to the support and prayers of the folks on this board.
Oooh--sorry, I'm making a short story long!
What I mean to say is: WELCOME and We are here to support you!

Macca5...welcome!! This board is a great place to learn, be encouraged, vent, whatever!

Anyway, is this your first time on Clomid? I have taken it for 3 cycles (not all in a row). First 2 cycles I was on 50 mg, and I didn't have any side effects at all. In fact, I felt MORE normal...I suppose because my RE thinks I have some hormone imbalances and he says the clomid can help that. But this month he increased my dose to 100mg, and I had absolutely horrible vaginal dryness. I'm talking DRY!! So bad, my DH and I couldn't have sex one night even though I mentally felt plenty revved up if you know what I mean, but my body just didn't respond. And when we put in lube (we used Preseed just in case, hopefully it wont kill the sperm), but my body sucked it all dry again within 30 seconds. We had to stop the sex!! Luckily we had an IUI this month and were able to BD after that!! Sorry if too much info. But I can't stress enough you may not have any side effects. Like I said, I never had any bad effects the first 2 months I was on the lower dose. So hopefully you love it and end up with a BFP!!!

Good luck this month and keep us posted!:)

Welcome...I'm new to posting, too! I was on Clomid for my first time this month (50mg)....my side effects were: bloating, nausea & pain in my ovaries on the 5th day. A day after I was finsihed with the pills, I felt better. I was soooo nervous about taking Clomid....of course I cried :( before I took my first one b/c I wanted everything to happen naturally (like everyone else!). I also did the trigger shot, IUI & am on progestrone
now ......and it looks like it actually worked :blob_fire . I'll know for sure on Friday. Good luck to you!!!
