Hi everybody.
I was recently going to complain against a psychiatrist. Then I got easy because there is a shortage of pdocs at Mission Mental Health in San Francisco. It seems that my sleeping will be in jeopardy. I had a new doctor that was only going to say that he would add one 50 mg Trazodone to my sleep to my 200mg, and leave the Lithium at 900mg. He missed my appointment. When I tried to resolve the matter with my caseworker, and him and myself. He may give me 400mg of Trazodone, and he couldn't prescribe 25-50 mg Seroquel(a small amount), but he might forget because the office is so busy. He's flooded with client. So I have to call again and again next week. Meanwhile, I've been useing extra Klonapin that he wouldn't prescribe. It went nowhere really between my caseworker and my new and soon to be ex-therapist. When I went for the meeting, 3 people were to see the psychiatrist I just got.
The redeeming fact was that this coming Tuesday, I see my neurologist. They(The caseworker and the pdoc) said they'd be looking out for my best interest and talk to my neurologist if she had anyone she worked with as a psychiatrist. That way it would be a perfect match. I'm having problems with sleep, getting 5 hours, 3 from 11 to 2AM, and 2 from 5-7AM per se. I stay in bed till 8:30AM miserable and depressed. So I have a two-fold problem of depression and poor sleep. I have a treatment resistent depression, and feel terrible (can't sit still) on Seroquel, Abilify or any neuroleptics for sleep. They(the caseworker and new pdoc) said they would be supportive in referring me out though. How could they do that when they're so busy and don't have time. So it really looks like me who is going to be searching. But where? Does anyone have any ideas of where I might start. Of course there's the neurologist? But what if she says she can't. Then where?
I have Medi-Cal and Medi-Care. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Max
