I have a rheumatologist that has done research on acne arthritis and believed my reactive arthritis was being driven by acne. My acne was typically on my back and arms.

Thanks for the response. I think it would make sense for me, except that it's typically a male condition. Also that usually acne vulgaris isn't involved, but more extreme acne conditions according to the research I've done, which isn't what mine is. Breakouts for me occur on the face the most, shoulders, back of upper arms and at times chest.

But how do they treat your Reactive Arthritis? All I get is pain med and an anti-inflammatory that doesn't help much.

I have been on various medications with little success. I'll list as many as I can remember:methotrexate (just made me sick), prednisone (works great but messes with my emotions and causes acne and can't stay on long term), enbrel (takes the edge off but still have inflammation), humira (same as enbrel), doxycycline (controls the acne), plus nsaids that did very little.
