Well over the weekend, AF came and is saying hello:) , I called RE first thing this AM and said I need to come in. Iam CD3, and I should start Follistim today if they have it in the office. This is the last attempt we will have so it has to be the one. I am very positive and happy (even though AF is here in full force). I will keep all updated!
If any follistim users have any thought....let me have them. Does it cause thin lining? I want this cycle not to be a bust with many follies, because he will stop the progress.
I am so excited:blob_fire

Well, the money is paid and we start the injections tomorrow:blob_fire
They kept me on Menopur but increased the dose from 75 to 150 iu. She said that this will not thin my lining. Today on CD3 my lining was 5.9:blob_fire . I am hoping not to shed to much more, at this time last cycle it was 3.1mm. I am so hoping and praying that this one is it!!:blob_fire
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers:angel:

Pennie, how wonderful that you're lining is almost 3mm thicker at this time that last month!!!:blob_fire :blob_fire :blob_fire :blob_fire I can relate completely to your thin lining from your last cycle.
Good luck starting injectables, let us know how it goes. Also, what's menopur, and what's it for?
Best of luck for that BFP this cycle!!:)

Thanks for your thoughts..
MENOPUR® (menotropins for injection, purified)

MENOPUR is the first and only fertility treatment approved by the FDA on the basis of pregnancy rates. MENOPUR® is a preparation of naturally derived gonadotropins that has undergone an exacting purification process. It contains equal amounts of 75 IU follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and 75 IU leutinizing hormone (LH).
(sorry so long, I just cut and pasted):jester:

How is everything going for you? What was your lining and labs at IUI time? Have they said anythings about your lining before? Best wishes

Hi Pennie...Yes, my lining has always been a problem. I don't know what my lining was right at IUI time because they don't do u/s day of IUI, but 2 days before it was incredibly thin at only 3.6 (at day 12!!). That's the thinest it's ever been, which they think is due to the clomid---which annoys me a little cuz I have a thin lining to begin with (my average when not on clomid I think was 5-6 mm). So, my RE said slim chance for pregnancy this month, but suggested I still try the IUI anyway, since better chance than natural, especially as I had virtually NO cervical mucus this month lol!! (Again due to the Clomid). I was really disappointed in the Clomid this month with the dryness, which I've never really experienced before. And of course, my super thin lining. But I'm still hopeful. I'm in the 2ww now (day 7).
Oh, my estrogen was like 473 at day 12, which they said was good. I had a follicle size 25, others were 18, 13mm.
Thanks for asking!
Keep me posted on your cycle this month!:)

HeyKnack
You need to tell RE no more Clomid!! If you have a thin lining, clomid isnt the drug. Dont you just hate that! Like this past cycle, it put clomid in the mix...what the hell. If I didnot respond well with clomid to begin with why have someone pay for it again...ARGGGGGG:mad:
My hopes and prayers are with you. Good luck, I am thinking about you!

Thank you Pennie, it's really wonderful to think someone else out there is pulling for my (and my DH's) success this month. Yes, I have been thinking and thinking, NO MORE CLOMID for me...even though I actually felt more normal on it the first 2 months I took it. But it just thins me out even more=no good. Ugh. But if it actually ends up miraculously working for me this month, I'll be thanking my RE!! (And GOD, lol). Thanks for thinking of me, and I would love any extra prayers you could throw into the mix for me! :) And baby dust to you and everyone else out there hoping for a BFP!

Good luck on your second round. AF came for me several days early so because I was out of town had to skip this month. :( I guess we will just do the BD like crazy this month and hope for a natural pg!
Will be thinking of you this month.

Hi Pennie Sorry to hear about AF coming Next month has to be your month. I just had my first IUI yesterday and I was on Follistim and my RE said it does not cause a thin lining and every u/s I went for he said my lining looked good I think it was around 7 or 8. Hang in there.
