i have a 13 yr old daughter that is breaking out in hives , we think it is from dust . from all i have read the allergy doctors dont really do any more than i am when she breaks out we apply some benidril cream . they go away does anyone have any further suggestions?

An oral antihistamine might work also...try benedryl. It will make her drowzy most liekly. Or Zyrtec if you have that is often given for hives.

My one daughter has gotten hives from her food allergies and my other daughter got hives from being too close to a bad of moldy oranges.

Just another idea... hives can also be from the chicken pox virus that will sometimes re-surfice. So if your daughter has had chicken pox as a young child you might check into that, if you are not sure of the cause. If it is from previous chicken pox it is very important it is treated right away or she can get very sick and have a higher probability of future outbreaks. I deal with this...
