yesterday was 12 wks for me I can't believe yall. I have to say my lungs feel pinker. But my feet hurt cause I've packed on the pounds, but one thing at a time right.

Cheers to me and the rest of you who are strugglin with the same demon. Keep up the great work

Congratulations on 12 weeks of being smoke-free! It's a great feeling isn't it. I did the same as you, taking care of the smoking first, then worrying about the extra weight later. One thing at a time. I'm so happy for you.

Thanks cookie I'm pretty darn proud of myself considering all the crap going on in my life and I still haven't smoked

Congrats, Liamsmom...12 weeks is super! Yes, worry about the weight later, as you get stronger in your resolve to stay quit, then you can work on your weight. I started walking a lot to keep my weight down, and if it wasn't for that, I think I'd be about another 10 lbs heavier. :p I gained up to 12 lbs after I quit, and right now it's about 7 or 8...not bad in 3 years. Quitting smoking is more important than a little weight, right? Keep it up... way to go.
