Yesterday I went to my regular doc for a recheck and he gave me some Cymbalta to try for my neuropathy. He wanted me to try 30mg for two weeks then move up to 60mgs.
Well I didn't want to have any weird side effects during work so I took one before bed last night. About an hour or so later I wake up with nausea. I lay still and it passes. Then I wake up a little while later and have to go to the bathroom. As I'm walking that way, the nausea comes back. Then the STRANGEST thing happened! When I laid back down I was overcome with a WEIRD feeling of not being in control of my mind! It was frightening! I was so on edge and felt like jumping out of my skin! It almost felt like I was under some outside control! Well I curled up real tight under the blankets just in case my body wanted to try and do something stupid--like jump out a window or something. Eventually the feeling passed, but the nausea and then stomach pains stayed around a while. And I couldn't sleep well at all; kept waking up in between the weird dreams.
By morning all those side effects were gone, but I didn't have any appetite until evening. And I'm very tired of course!
So no more Cymbalta for me!! I'm sure my body would adjust, but I don'r EVER want that weird mind control thingie again! Never, ever, ever! Can you imagine what the larger dose would do to me?!
