I had an operation on Monday for kidney stones I think that they had the operation early to faciliate me going on holidays tomorrow(cany go though in pain) other than the initail pain i had for the kidney stones i felft quiet ok just a dull pain anyway after i had the op i was passing a lot more blood in my urine and was in a lot of pain. Anyway they passed a laser something through my man hood through my bladded up the uthera and into my kidneys to blast the stone some got away and went bak into my kidneys and the will use ultrasound ?? to blast it (please excuse the incorrect terminology) Anyway its now Friday and I am passing a lot of blood and I am not able to sleep because i get the sensation that my bladder needs to be emptied even just after going this is keeping me awake all night and driving me crazy is this common after the operation should i go back to the hospitable i really need some help and advice because i am slowing going crazy thanks for your help

I apoligise for the diction its terrible, I just havent slept and its 2:30 am.
Just a little frayed around the edges. But just to emphasise is it normal to have the sensation that you need to urinate all the time, after this type of operation. I do mean all the time even after just going, it is very uncomforatable and i just cant get any sleep any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Let your urologist know that you have this constant urge to go to the bathroom. It sounds like a urinary tract infection. Your doctor may want to put you on something in addition to what you are already taking. You don't want this infection reaching your kidney so act quickly. As far as the blood, I would think this is normal but I would mention it anyway. You might be having bladder spasms and there is Ditropan for that. Let the doctor know what is going on. This hour of the morning is there an advice nurse that is connected to your health insurance that you can call?
