my therapist and i both feel i should get on an anti-anxiety med. Since my therapist isnt a psychiatrist, i'd have to get the medicine from someone else. most likely my dad's psychiatrist. I'd most likely get on ativan because I had it once in the ER and it really really helped me come down from an enormous panic attack. But, has anyone here ever experienced withdrawal symptoms from any anti-anxiety meds when being tapered off of them? klonopin, xanax, ativan, valium, etc? since i have severe and frequent panic attacks, i'd most likely be taking the medication daily, which in turn means addiction. the addiction factor is my biggest fear, and thats why i'm wondering if the withdrawal symptoms will be worth getting on the medication in the first place. thank you!
