Hi everyone. Hope you had a pretty good day today.
I would like to know whether anyone wakes up from a short nap from spasms. Sometimes I fall asleep on the couch, and the next thing I know is I'm awoken by these terrible spasms. Anyone else?

Hi Eagle...I was wondering if you are sleeping in an awkward position. I see you've had cervical surgery in the past; is it possible that sleeping on the couch is putting your head/neck in an odd position and pulling on muscles or nerves that cause the spasms? Do you get them at night when you are sleeping in bed? Where are the spasms? It seems like sleeping on the couch would make it difficult to get the right kind of support to keep your head and neck in a neutral position, which might explain the spasms.
I've never had experience with this so I can't help much, but I maybe with more information someone may be able to relate to your problem and help you!
Take care,
Donna

Dude, I get the same problem. This is the only complaint I have. Mine stem from my collar I am 99% sure. My neck and back are in positions that they do not like, BINGO....spasms.
Very painful, but at least they go away.
Just watch how you position yourself and try and find what you are doing in your sleep that is the culprit. right when you awake, most likely that is the position that is creating it!
Good luck

I did early on during the 6 weeks wearing the collar and the first few weeks out of the collar. My doctor had prescribed two meds to help with spasms and often I needed them more than true pain meds.
