I was laying here tonight unable to sleep and when I looked at my throat I noticed a on the side of the throat (not per se the tonsilor bed) a red spot that almost looked like a blood blister surrounded by that whitish scab junk.
Is those things normal? I remember reading about people not wanting their things to pop or declot because they would bleed again...
Any guidance is helpful cuz those things are kind of freaking me out...

Heh, I had my surgery on the 30th and I have learned not to look back there. :p Anyways, yes I beleive thats normal. After a couple days things will probably be all covered in this whitish gunk(scabs).....so I wouldnt worry. It probably is a blood scab from all the gags and equipment they have to put in your mouth to keep it open, I should go away. When did you have the surgery?
Always just remember, If you start to bleed more then 2 teaspoons call the Doc immediatly and get to a ER. Good luck!

My surgery was 24 August so today is Day 8. Yeah I had looked back there in the beginning, I saw some of the blood scabs on the white pus scabs, but these look different. Anyway the one or two I was looking at now are oddly gone. Its like they just dissolved or shrank below the whitish scab.
On a sad note, this morning I woke up and was really feeling queasy. I tried to hold out as long as I could and not get sick...but eventually I just tossed my cookies. :( I was scared at first of the trauma of getting sick would cause me to start bleeding but I was lucky and it didn't. *knocks on wood* So I immediately gargled Ice Cold Water (they say it helps stop bleeding) just in case.
GROSS ALERT: It seemed like mostly mucus and a little blood, but it was mostly bitter bile or something. I spent a few minutes dry heaving...and when it was done I felt a lot better. But I was surprised on how little came up and I just spent a lot of time dry heaving, which in itself is an awful experience. /END GROSS ALERT
Anyway, I am sipping water now and trying to keep down the pain meds I just took...maybe when I feel better I can try some saltines to settle my stomach. I am just drinking water right now, which is not the best thing for a queasy stomach.

The queasiness you are feeling is due to your pain meds. I know it's stronger stuff and you want to keep taking it for the pain, but I know for me when I had my surgery, i HAD to quit taking it because I was feeling so sick from it.
I switched to plain old liquid adult tylenol. I know what you're thinking, it's tylenol and it doesn't help, usually. But for some reason, for me, even though plain tylenol in caplet or tablet form doesn't do anything for me, the adult liquid stuff helped the pain, if only for just 2 hours, so I could have some relief from the pain.
But the codeine in the prescription pain meds makes MANY people sick, so you're not alone. Just try the plain tylenol and see if it helps, and also see if it helps your stomach not to take any more codeine. It really made a difference for me when I quit taking the codeine. That was what was making me so nauseated.

Thanks, I switched to trying to open up the every 2 hours for the Codeine with Liquid Tylenol. Unfortunately my GF only was able to find Childrens Tylenol. I tried it and it seems to be working on cutting the edge of the pain. I will try to supplement the codeine with that and hopefully that will make the nausea go away.
My doctor did give me a prescription for anti-nausea meds that work well too. I had one earlier today and I don't feel AS nauseas as before.
