Anyone else feel like their anxiety is heightened by boredom? It seems like every time I have a day off from work and have to be alone that my anxiety increases. I try really hard to stay busy, but sometimes I just want to sit back and relax, but then I start to feel bad. I can't even sleep in because I keep wainge up with such a bad stomach ache. Ugh
Yeah, I definately find my anxiety worse when bored just because if I am bored I have nothing on my mind so it goes right to the anxiety. Although if you are bored and just want to relax a few suggestions might be watch tv, play video games, or do something on the computer. Now I am not sure of the type of person you are (if you like to be active) but when I feel like just staying at home those seem to help keep my mind of anxiety.

Well lately i've been getting back into working out...nothing to crazy just long walks and situps etc. I find this helps with keeping my body and mind healthy. Also I am always trying to keep a positive thought (if possible) even when i'm feeling crappy. I know that there are times you just feel like crap and nothing can change it. However the way i look at my anxiety is, i didn't have it 2 months ago so dammit it will go away... eventually :)

I find that I also get anxiety worse when I am doing nothing. When I am busy and my mind is occcupied, I feel fine. When I am doing something that requires no brain power (eg: vacuuming, washing up) that seems to be when I feel my anxiety the most. my solution..............keep busy.

sometimes the whole day can go great, until I lay down to go to sleep. Recently, I've been listening to my audio bible as I go to sleep. If I try to sleep in silence, it can get bad. Basically, like you, if my mind is engaged , I do fairly well.
