I've been reading some of the back posts about low sperm count and have been seeing people mention their dh taking medicine for this problem. Does anyone know anything. is there a medicine that can help raise sperm count? what about morphology? or motility? has anyone been suscessfull with them? oh and accupuncture, my mom-in-law is a chiropracter and does accupuncture with this little exectronic buzzer. Has anyone using accupuncture been suscessful? Maybe we need to make a trip out to Arizona to see her.

My Dh has a low sperm cound (15-20 mil)and motility the doctor gave him clomid and said it should help but it would be like 6 months before we would see any results. They also checked is testostrone levels(even tho he has no sign of low T) his test came back 262 normal but low (avg.240-900) so he takes testostrone shots for 4wks and then one every 4wks the dr. told us that his sperm count would go up some but the motility would go up alot.He has to go back for a SA when he finishes his shots and he will take his 4th week shot tuesday and then it goes to every 4wks for 6 months.The dr seemed to be really sure this was going to solve out low motility problem but we will have to wait march 07 to see unless we get a BFP before then.:)
Good luck this is all I know at the moment because this is what we are dealing with too if I find out anything else from his dr I will post it. His nurse calls weekly to make sure everything is going good with his injections.

i think it really depends on the sperm count.. like my dh has a sperm count of 200,000 motility not too bad 50% and morph only 4% and the re and urologist pretty much told us that there is really nothing we can do that would increase his counts... lots of zinc and folic acid is suppose to be good for counts... a male multi vitamin wont hurt, but i remember the urologist saying to take a multi vitamin and XTRA zinc... some men have a hormone deficiency, if not i couldnt see how hormones would help... tami ur husbands on all that stuff for motility right?? because isnt a count of 20-40 million normal, so if he is at 15-20 thats not too bad... good luck to both of u!!

ASPROUSEY05O.......Yeah my Dh is on it for motility. We was told that there is nothing they can to to increase the sperm count it much but the stuff he is on they said it might increase it a small about. They are not worried about his count just the low motility.

thanks all, i'll keep all that in mind but honestly i hope to never have to use it. went for the second attempt at a iui today. even though the sa on wed was crappy .5% he was up to almost 20% today with 40% motility. they were able to do the iui. keep your fingers crossed for me and good luck with u all as well

DH has 18mil. Before every IUI, he would consume fresh, raw oysters and count will shoot up to 60-72 mil.
