You may want to go see a chiro - for some reason there is a big gap between medical drs and chiropractic treatment. When medcial practice fails to identify the problem they tend to say nothing is wrong, its in your head or offer pain or anti-anxiety or anti-depressants. Sometimes just a slight misalignment in the neck or cervical area can cause a lot of pain. The popping in the shoulder area is a sure sign something is out of alignment. Its worth a try.
