I have horrible vision. It all started when I had my first panic attack 2 years ago. Now it is sooo much worse. It started as little floaters and weird lights and shadows, and now it is flashes of light, and light fuzzies that pulse. It is hard to describe but it is really bothering me. I had an MRI 2 years ago, but I dont know if that is significant or not, but i thought id throw that in there. I am a HUGE hypochondriac and I always am saying "MOM, do I have AIDS? do I have Cancer?!?" and she always says "NO, YOU ODNT" and this time Im like "Okay, I have MS." and she is silent. "I dont THINK you do, but we will get it checked out." So great. Do any of you have odd vision issues? Do any of you know if anxiety can cause this? I am freaking out, any answers would be nice! thanks!

Hi NeedAnswers
What you are describing alot of people who suffer from migraines experience.
I don't know if you suffer from headaches or not? Some migraine suffers believe it or not have all these strange symptoms and yet no headache.
Perhaps this is something you can research. If you go to the headache board on healthboards website there is alot of information on this topic. Anxiety and Panic Disorder could create the strangest symptoms, so yeah it could be anxiety related BUT I think your first step should be a Doctor's visit to rule out anything serious, I am sure you will be fine.. MS produces many, more symptoms then just flashing lights. I hope you find this helpful.. Good Luck! ;)

My experience is of seeing a bulls eye of watery, moving crystal-like figures.
I was totally unable to read or see very well. After 20-30 minutes in a dark room, it stopped & I was able to return to work.
At a Sjogren's Syndrome conference, I was able to talk to an eye specialist. He said that it was a retinal migraine. Not a headache migrane that causes pain.
A retinal migrane is caused by a blood vessel contracting and so there is less blood flow to the eye. It seems that this is common, and usually is a short-term problem. When the blood flow increases, the vision problem goes away.
If it doesn't go away, then you should probably see a dr. Hope this info helps you to feel less anxious. It sure did for me!
