I think that for bipolar II people the closest we usually get to mania is the angry moods. I know that I never get those true manic episodes that are talked about. I just snap into a bad mood out of nowhere and for no reason. For me it's not true anger but I have heard a lot of bipolar II's express it definitely as anger.

Pendy, Mania can turn into anger and is not the only mania symptom a bipolarII person can have.

Kar546, Here are some symptoms of mania:

What are the symptoms of mania?

Mania is the word that describes the activated phase of bipolar disorder. The symptoms of mania may include:

either an elated, happy mood or an irritable, angry, unpleasant mood
increased activity or energy
more thoughts and faster thinking than normal
increased talking, more rapid speech than normal
ambitious, often grandiose, plans
poor judgement
increased sexual interest and activity
decreased sleep and decreased need for sleep

Cognitive behavioral therapy is a good tool to aide in the way a person recognizes the symptoms before an explosion of anger and teaches that person ways of dealing with the anger in a productive manner.

I hope this helps.

Thank you all......I went to see my therepist today. Without me saying anything at all about it...she brought up bi-polar when I told her what was going on with me.

I have thinking that I might be. Still don't know. She wants to talk to the pdoc about it.

Thanks again,kar
