View Full Version : Headaches/head fog after shampoo use?

Hi All,

Does anyone else out there experience headaches or a foggy head after using shampoo? I have tried a number of shampoos and they all seem to do this to me. The effect begins about one hour after washing my hair and can leave me feeling really crappy for the rest of the day - sort of this tired lethargic feeling.

I'm also wondering what the offending ingredient in the shampoo is? There's so may chemicals it's hard to know which one(s) I might be sensitive to.

Many thanks...Scott

You might be having a reaction from the fragrance. I ,for one, cannot tolerate anything with the least amount of fragrance,( get a headache from it )...I suggest you try a shampoo from a health store that contains all natural products & fragrance free to see if that helps.

I didn't feel that bad after showering but I am allergic to ingredents in all toiletries. I am allergic to propylene glycol, fragrances and the derivatives of formeldyhyde (google formeldyhyde to get all of the derivatives). I get many toiletries online but the dermatologist sells them also. The company name is Person & Covey. I could never find a conditioner to use so I use a little jojoba oil (little is the key word!). Remember that unscented does not mean fragrance free. There is actually a scent called unscented! Good Luck.

Fragrances in products make me feel the same way. I've had to eliminate them from my house also
