I used to be fun and witty and now my brain just seems paralyzed. I just started Paxil a couple of weeks ago. I was wondering how it has worked for some of you out there? How long did it take before you noticed a difference? I know everyone is different, but I wondered what I can expect. Miracles, I hope. :)

It took me about 5 weeks to get used to paxil for the anxiety I know it seemed like forever but it will come.

Hopefully, if this is your first medication, it will start working in a few weeks. If it doesn't start working in a few weeks, you might need to try a different medication. Keep track of all side effects you may have and be sure to report them to your doctor.

Good luck!

I've taken lots of medications for bipolar disorder, so adding another one doesn't really bother me. Especially when it's for such a crippling problem as social anxiety. The only side effect that I've experienced is light-headedness when I get up too fast. I'm constantly up and down at work, so that's a little annoying. But, that'll go away probably.

Tiglet, that is so encouraging that Paxil helped you! Thank you! And hopefully I will be thanking Paxil soon. :)
