I have been doing some research on various medications and noted that if someone uses Advair their doctor should know that they have osteoporosis.
Does anyone know what the connection is to the drug and to osteoporosis?

Cschneider: I read something about this recently, but don't remember where. I would imagine that the drug company that manufactures this would explain any contraindications for the drug in their rx leaflet. Advair is an inhaled cortocosteriod, so it would make sense that long term use might increase your risk for osteoporosis or osteopenia. I have a family member that has been on cortisone for years, orally, and she has developed osteopenia, supposedly from the cortisone use.
