About 8 months ago, I had brief, unprotected sex with sex worker. Within days of this incident, I had flu like symtoms like I have never had. I was extreemly worried. After about two months, I started having night sweats, sore throat and dry mouth. I have taken HIV anti-body tests at 2 weeks, 12 weeks and 21 weeks. All came back negative. At about 16 weeks, I started getting an ulcer near the tip of my tongue and the roof of my mouth, (behind my teeth) feels very rough and sore at times. My doctor does not think anything of this. Now the ulcer seem to be getting worse (today is week 31 after the incident). I also, recently had a Cd4, Cd8, and Viral load test done, the results were all in the normal range.

It seems all my labs are fine, but I continue to have these oral problems that have not gone away aftware 8 weeks. I wounder if I should be tested for HIV-2, or blame the symptoms I am having on stress.

I am going through a situation too. I had unprotected sex about 3 months ago. I too am very worried. My situation was a little different though.i am worried that I might have gotten HIV through precum. Everyone says my chances are so low but I still worry so I know what you are going through. If you have taken as many tests as you say you have you really don't have a reason to be worried. I know its easy to panic about a situation like this. Alot of the symptoms that you are explaining could be caused from the stress that you are under because of worring that you are HIV positive. In my opinion you really should'nt worry but if you still a scared then go ahead and test again. It might just be what you need to finally feel better and get over this. Good Luck and God Bless.
