Ok this is really strange.

My husband has Bipolar Disorder, but is pretty stable at the time.

About 3-5 days before my period starts, he claims that he can smell something. He describes it as a smell coming from my skin. But the wierd thing is is that he has very little sense of smell for everyday things (fresh grass, body odors, food smells, etc.). He can actually pinpoint when I'm getting my period before I do.

During this time, he gets extremely angry and sometimes even a little bit out of it. Sort of like a woman with bad PMS. He gets depressed, angry, rageful, etc.

Like I said, he is pretty stable accept for during this time????

I have heard of women that live or work together having their period at the same time. Do we give of some type of scent that could effect the brains of others, even men???

I'm lost on this one!

i dont no if it can affect other people, but a womans smell does change at different stages in the cycle its caused by the hormonal changes we go through. i personaly have asweeter scent under my arms around period time, i no it sounds weird but its one of the ways i can tell if its coming , as for your hubbys moods, well if men can pick up on pregnancy symptoms why not menstrual ones, perhaps you are very in tune with each other:D

It's called pheromones. We all pick up on them, some more than others and it is registered in the primary or primitive brain.
