My Primary Care Physician ran a lot of blood work and found that my IgA - Quant level was high - 438. She told me the range but I have forgotten it now. Almost all Epstein Barr tests were flagged. She said that I had once had it and it was still there although I am not contagious. Of course, I am concerned and have been reading a lot of posts on this site. Can someone shed a little light on this virus? I have an appointment w/an immunologist in two weeks for his evaluation. She also wanted to give me a polysaccharide vaccine but I told her I would like to read up on it before I took it. Does this sound serious?
