Hello everyone....please help because I am very concerned...
After my boyfriend and I had sex yesterday my vaginal canal has been burning. We didn't use lube and it was hurting a little when we were having sex. We also used some different condoms than our usual thin, lubed Lifestyle brand, they were the Trojan Lubricated. They are really kinda of think and dry....my boyfriend said he could see why it would be irritating since we he went to remove the condom it was kinda dry.
Now I am worried I have a UTI, though, but my pee is clear, I drink a ton of water and there is no blood in my urine. No lower back pain or anything either. I am having to go frequently but I usually do anyways. When I woke up this morning to go pee the burning was gone and I thought it was better but after I peed and went back to bed it started burning some again. I also just went #2 and that helped with the burning a little but now my lower stomach feels a little tingly, like I have gas. I think I had to go #2 a bit more but I couldn't. I think I had this before we had sex yesterday though... Maybe that's putting pressure? I have to admit the burning is not quite as bad as it was yesterday but if it is from friction during sex how long could this last?
Edited to add that I also did do some intense pilates crunches yesterday afternoon, too....this could be contributing to the lower stomach tightness/soreness? I've also had a yeast infection before and I believe I had this burning too without any itching. I really hope I don't have to go to the doc. I don't have any isurance and I'm not sure our general doc will see me without any :(

Hi Hun,
It sounds like you have a yeast infection and that the condom aggrevated this which is why you are so sore around that area.
You need to see your pharmacist for some yeast cream. Meanwhile apply natural yogurt to your vagina and put a pad in your underwear. Its a bit messy but it will help ease the discomfort. Or if you haven't got any natural yogurt, you could try a plain yogurt.
Your partner might also need to be treated for yeast infection if he ever entered you at any time without using a condom. Men don't always show symptoms of a yeast infection and because of this, it can be passed between you both and you can become re-infected.

Thanks so much for your response. The upper part (I guess my vulva) is kinda burnning now, too. I don't have much of a discharge either. I hate to self-diagnose, though.....I guess I'll give a day? I've never had sex with my bf without a condom. This is the first time I've ever expirienced burning this long afterwards, too.

Hi again, :)
That's good you haven't had sex without a condom. That will rule out any chance of you passing it onto you partner or vice-a-versa.
Your vulva hurting or being irritated is signs of a yeast infection hun. Best thing to do is go to your pharmacist and purchase some cream for a yeast infection. Apply it 2/3 times a day (depending on the instructions) and this will clear it all up. Don't worry because this is very common and nothing to feel ashamed about hun. We all get these throughout our lives. :)
Also wear cotton underwear and don't wear trousers that are tight to your genitals and if you become sweaty, wash thoroughly down there and this will help clear it up too.

Hey thanks for your response again:)
I bought some Monistat 7 today although earlier the burning had stopped but started again this afternoon on my vulva and now it's burning inside again, too. It was burning a little too when I was wearing my jeans today as well. I bought the 7 day because I read somtimes the 1 or 3 day creams might not completely take the infection away. Plus, the time I went to a gyno they prescribed the 7 day. I guess if I had a UTI I'd be in extreme pain by now...I still might wait until tommorow night to start the cream. It keeps hurting on and off.

I started using the Monistat Monday night. It burned like hell the first night I used but I did start to feel some relief Wednesday and felt almost completely better yesterday but today it's burning just a little. Not in the canal but on the upper part. I was using the bathroom a lot last night so maybe wiping a lot irritated it? A little of the cream also came out last night after I used the bathroom...not a lot but some...will this keep it from getting treated all the way?
I'm thinking of buying some acidophilus pills too...just to help this one and keep myself from getting another one.
