I notice that lately I have been wanting to sleep longer and longer. I try to get up earlier but I am always so sleeepy. I guess this is a part of CFS. I also have FMS. One day last week I slept about 9-10 hours straight! I wish there were something I could do to have more energy.

Well I have had head pressure since the middle of June. I dont know if this is cause to it or not. I will be going to the doctor tomorrow, so I am going to bring this up. I also dont know if it is depression, cause I feel like I have been eating more also.

Catgirl-

I have CFS and sleep problems too. I too sleep 9-10 hours and feel dead tired in the morning. Do you have insomnia? Take sleeping pills??
Do you have a delayed sleep cycle? (i.e. you cant fall asleep until late at night,or early morning such as 3 am, and cant wake up until late morning to mid afternoon, like anywhere from 11 am to 4 pm). This can cause major fatigue. Google "delayed sleep phase" and "bright light therapy". I just got a light box to try fixing my sleep cycle.

Also, have you ever seen a sleep specialist?? You could have sleep apnea, or maybe you never fall into stage 3 or 4 sleep which is when the body repairs itself. If you dont fall into those stages, you wont ever feel rested even if you sleep 18 hours.

Sleep really affects us!! I would address this problem first.
