I am 17 years old only days away from 18, and i was just diagnosed with addison's disease 3 weeks ago and while in the Hospital my friends kinda ditched but now I know who my real friends are and I am having the hardest time dealing with it and on top of that I have disc bulges and a mass in my left ovary that they are removing on the twentieth they don't think its cancerous but I am so overwhelmed by all of this. I would love to have someone to talk that understands.

Hi,
I am new myself. I am sad to hear about all your recent problems. Why does bad news always seem to come around a holiday? As far as your friends go, I'm sure they are overwhelmed too and just don't know what to say. They'll come around. Glad you are getting the problem on your ovary taken care of. The doctors wouldn't say it was likely benign, unless they are pretty sure of that. Try not to stress out, although I know it is really hard. It will just aggravate the AD. Hopefully, they will get you on meds and you will start feeling better. Good luck, Karen

Hey! I don't have Addison's disease but I do have a health problem with similar problems. I am 21 and was diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome when I was 18. I know how it feels to be overwhelmed with everything! Recently I got married and had to come back to stay with my parents so they could take care of me. But I am finally getting a lil bit better and get to go home to my husband. I don't have exactly the same thing you do, but it always helps to talk to someone. So if you need someone to listen I'm here!

Take care,

Nicole
