So I havent been posting on this board for too long but some of you know that I have a wonderful 14 month old son. He is a handful that takes up my day to care for. Anyways, my partner and I recently had been discussing when we want to have another baby, I know I want another one I just didnt know how much space I wanted between them. Anyways we decided to start trying next summer around DS's 2nd birthday. So last week I started to feel sick to my stomach and I was making DS breakfast and threw up. I drove right to the store and got a test and guess what I am pregnant. I am so sick and I am having trouble caring for DS because I cant hardly get out of bed. I am not going to the doctor for about 2 weeks, but I am going to try and get that medicine that makes you stop throwing up. Well I am totally freaking out! DS wont even be 2 when baby #2 comes, I just dont think I can handle it, and DH just started a new business, great timing I know, but he has been working 10 or 12 hour days. did any of you feel this way when you were pregnant with baby #2? I am so scared.

i only have ds so i can't talk from experience but as you are in a happy marriage and have a great family life at present - at a guess. you will therefore find a way to get through this. congratulations i feel for you with the sickness maybe you could get some help from dh or family so you can grab a couple of hours to chuck up or sleep alone. take care congrats i am sure it will all work out.

My children are 23 months apart, so I know where you are coming from. And then while I was pregnant, I had preeclampsia, and so that made taking care of my girl even harder. But, I wouldn't change it for a thing. Having them close in age has been awesome. There will be rough times, but hang in there, it will all work out, it is meant to be. And if you need any other advice, support, anything, I'm here for you, as is everyone else...I'm sure everything will work out well for you! And congratulations!

Hey girl! Don't fret... what's done is done. I also had my two boys close together. They are 22 months apart and I too was freaking out. Now that Tanner is here and he is over 4 months old I have to say it's fairly easy. The first month is very trying but once you and your family have established a routine it's not that bad!
What has helped me a lot with my toddler is that he absolutely loves and can't get enough of "Farzzle's World". We taped an hour and a half of it and when I need a bit of time to take care of the baby (nurse him or get him down for a nap) I put on the tape. It keeps Caden quiet and content while I tend to Tanner. All you gotta do is find your vice!
Good luck and by the way, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Thanks for you replys and confident words ladies. I am real nervous and anxious but I keep trying to remind myself how wonderful it is to have a baby and what a blessing and a miracle it is. When I think like that I start to feel better, its just when I start thinking about the hard stuff that I get negative. Plus I knew I wanted more kids so I minus well get it done with all at once right! I go get my first ultrasound in about a week so I will know how far along I am, I still havent gotten a period since my first baby so I have no idea. I think I am about 6 weeks though, that is when I started to feel sick with the last one. I know once I hear the baby I will feel better too. Like it is actually a baby and not just a line on a pregnancy stick and morning sickness! I just need to stay positive. I will keep you all posted.
