Just got my results, it was antibody neg. My question is can I start my life again as normal or should I test again at a later date.
I had an oral experiance with a HIV+ guy (confirmed). All oral I never touched him. That was on June 11th. I got my oral-sure test at 11 weeks.
Should I test again since he was + or should I move on with my life?
I can tell you that this has changed my life forever. it is not worth it! Also for all of you that are worried about the Symptoms, DONT. I to had/have every symptom in the book, it is all in your head and stress related
Please answer my above question about retesting at a later date.
Thanks
Chris

Further testing depends on who you talk to. First, from what I have read oral is considered very low risk especially for the one receiving oral on them. Further testing is up to you, but I would think 13 weeks and that is it, but I am no expert by any means....

DEar Chris: I agree with Ronnie. Receptive oral sex is absolutely low risk ( if not "no risk") since the only fluids that might be exchanged is saliva in which the HIV virus does not survive for long (or even short) periods.
The decision to re-test is up to you. Personally, I would test at 13 weeks (only because I'm an idiot about such things) but, at the same time, I think your test result is pretty certain.
Whatever you decide, move on with your life and, please, be careful. chris, as well.

I know what you are feeling. It sounds like you have nothing to worry about though. My glands have been swollen for a while now but I must say that the nodes in my throat are swollen 100% of the time. Then I started to dig around in my neck and found the swollen one under my ears. They maybe swollen 100% of the time too, i dont know.
I to feel/felt weird all the time too. It is like I am kind of dizzy all the time. My arms and legs are numb/tingly but I think it is from lack of exercise, since I found out what was going on 4 weeks ago I did not feel like doing anything so I would sit in my chair all night and not move, (no blood moving).
All I can say is do not worry. that is all i did for 4 wks. I also would search HIV symptoms all day everyday on the interenet, do not do that either, by the end of the day you will have all the symptoms.
All the messages on here say do not worry about the symptoms they mean nothing, I know this is easier said than done.
Dont worry though, sounds like you had a very low risk encounter.
Best wishes.
Chris

Hi Chris thanks for the advice mate, I think Im going crazy now due to the anxiety, my dreamlike state I think is due to anxiety and probably my constant sweating too specailly at night, Ive also realised recently when I wake in the mornings my hands are both numb, this has been really scaring the hell out of me, my lymph nodes under my neck are still enlarged for a month now, I really dont know what to do, I dont think I can handle this anymore. Its like my world has been torn apart by something really stupid I did, Ive always had bad luck.
