Hi there,

I got contact lenses about a month ago (Focus Dailies), and wear them only about 3 days a week. When I put them on they are fine, but around three times a day, for about 5 minutes, they will start to feel gritty or that I have something in my eyes :( Then just as quickly they'll clear up.

I wear dailies so they are a new pair each time. I have tried putting eye drops when the grittiness begins, but it doesn't do anything, so I'm not sure if it's dry eye or not?

I then switched to Johnson & Johnson Acuvues, which were noticeably better, but it did the gritty thing again (but once only).

Went to the optometrist who said i could possibly be just wearing it the wrong way around, although I made sure they were the right way up!

Any idea what the problem could be? Does the lens just not fit me correctly? (I was fitted with them at the opto, and he double checked and he said it was definitely fine)

It could be dry eye, eye drops arent always that effective in making contact lenses comfortable. Nothings better than natural tear for them to float on. try switching to contacts better for dry eye.
